Mocon, Alejandro formally sign with Rain or Shine

Javee Mocon and Jjay Alejandro formalized their entry into the PBA after each signed three-year deals with Rain or Shine on Tuesday, two days after the 2018 PBA Draft.

Alejandro confirmed the news to ESPN5.

Financial details of the contracts were not divulged.

Mocon and Alejandro were taken as the sixth and eighth picks, respectively, in the first round of the guard-heavy draft.

Mocon, part of a the San Beda team that captured three consecutive titles in the NCAA, will bring versatility to the team that also features Gabe Norwood and James Yap.

During the Draft Combine, Mocon said he is willing to adjust his game. For the longest time, he played the four spot but he said he could convert to a swingman if needed.

Robert Bolick was the first rookie to sign a deal with a team. Bolick, who will form a dynamic backcourt tandem with Stanley Pringle, agreed to a two-year deal with NorthPort.
