The Baltimore Ravens have given over $45 million in guaranteed money less than 24 hours since the official start of free agency.

Do the Ravens have the resources to further improve this team?

"We're not done," general manager Ozzie Newsome said Friday. "I will say that."

The Ravens entered free agency with $8 million in cap room after tending all six restricted free agents. Baltimore freed up an additional $16.4 million by releasing linebacker Elvis Dumervil, safeties Lardarius Webb and Kendrick Lewis, and cornerback Shareece Wright. But most of that was offset by the signings of nose tackle Brandon Williams, safety Tony Jefferson, running back Danny Woodhead, quarterback Ryan Mallett and special teams ace Anthony Levine.

"We've been able to get Tony [Jefferson] and we still got the opportunity in free agency to address [the secondary] maybe," Newsome said.

One of Baltimore's biggest needs is cornerback. The Ravens have been talking with the Cowboys' Morris Claiborne, and other remaining options include the Cowboys' Brandon Carr and the Chargers' Brandon Flowers.

Signing a veteran cornerback wouldn't preclude the Ravens from drafting a cornerback as high as the first round. Baltimore has started at least four cornerbacks in each of the past three seasons, and the Ravens have two (Jimmy Smith and Tavon Young) who played a significant amount of time last season.

Newsome also touched on other needs.

"We're still working to try to do some other things at receiver and maybe offensive line," Newsome said.

The wide receiver market thinned out even more Friday, when Terrelle Pryor signed with Washington. The best remaining include: Anquan Boldin, Terrance Williams, Michael Floyd, Cordarrelle Patterson, Andrew Hawkins and Kamar Aiken.

The Ravens also have to replace Rick Wagner, who signed with Detroit, at right tackle. The top available include D.J. Fluker, Andre Smith, Austin Pasztor and Marshall Newhouse.

Newsome, though, stressed that the Ravens will still build their team primarily through the draft and not free agency. He pointed out how Baltimore has seven picks in this year's draft, including four in the first three rounds.

"That's going to play a big part in how this team is going when we get to September," Newsome said.
