#HeyTony: What goes on behind the scenes at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis?

Editor's note: Tony Grossi covers the Cleveland Browns for ESPN 850 WKNR.

Hey Tony: What goes on behind the scenes at the Scouting Combine the general public doesn’t normally hear about?

-- Aaron, New Philadelphia, OH

Hey Aaron: There is a lot of business conducted after hours between teams, players and agents at the many fine establishments in downtown Indianapolis. Seeds are planted for future trades and future contract deals. I can recall witnessing an agent meeting with his high-profile player – no names, please – poring over a document over dinner. The news would break of this deal a week or two later. I will say this: The business that goes on after hours often is more significant than what happens during the work day. Then there are the head coaches – no names, please – who unwind after hours. Shhhh. What’s seen and heard at the Combine stays at the Combine. In truth, club personnel put in long hours at the Combine.

Hey Tony: My offseason curiosity -- Who is the fastest player on the Browns roster? My guess is Antonio Callaway or Breshad Perriman?

-- TJ, Wapakoneta, OH

Hey TJ: I would guess in a 40-yard dash the top three finishers would be: 1. Callaway, 2. Denzel Ward, 3. Perriman.

Hey Tony: Will Browns look to free agency for a seasoned but still can contribute tight end, i.e. Ben Watson (when we thought he was closer to the end than gearing up for 10 more years) to help mentor David Njoku and help in passing game? Anyone out there come to mind?

-- Mike, Columbus, OH

Hey Mike: I would suggest that veteran-in-the-room role was filled last year by Darren Fells. If the Browns add a tight end, I would expect him to be younger and faster.

Hey Tony: Is Kareem Hunt worth the PR liability? Why should fans be OK with this?

-- Daniel, Boston, MA

Hey Daniel: This comes down to a matter of trust. Trust in John Dorsey, who has had a Midas touch in 18 months on the job as GM. Dorsey has put his trust in Kareem Hunt to do all the right things to win the trust of coaches, teammates and fans. Is he worth the PR liability? I’m finding most fans are OK with bringing him aboard. The risk gets higher when the Browns reinvest in Hunt after 2019.

Hey Tony: How many games do you think Kareem Hunt will get suspended? Also, is there trade value for him after the suspension?

-- Ryan, Rocky River, OH

Hey Ryan: Speculation on Hunt’s suspension has ranged from six games to a full year. There’s no way to know. The NFL does not follow a guide anymore when doling out suspensions. It can be as long as it wants. The fact that there may be three violations of the personal conduct policy could mean a longer rather than shorter suspension. I do not believe Dorsey signed Hunt for the purpose of trading him.

Hey Tony: Any data or analytics on the uptick in Browns season tickets in the #LAND?

-- Mark, San Jose, CA

Hey Mark: No data, but I recently had the opportunity to co-host a radio show from the studio in the Browns’ building and I heard that annoying bell ring several times signifying season-ticket sales. I would imagine business is good.
