OAKLAND, Calif. -- The Golden State Warriors joined elite company after securing their 10th consecutive win following Wednesday night's 97-84 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. The defending champs became the fourth team in NBA history to rack up a double-digit winning streak in at least five consecutive seasons. Only the San Antonio Spurs (2010-16), Seattle Supersonics (1992-97) and Boston Celtics (1970-75) also have achieved the feat. It was the Warriors' 11th double-digit winning streak in franchise history and the eighth such streak in the past five seasons. "It just says we've had lots of talent and it's a good time to be a Warriors fan obviously, or a Warriors coach," coach Steve Kerr said. "This team has been growing and growing over the last six, seven years and these last five have been really special seasons. "It's fun to be part of the growth of the entire group. I remember doing TV for some of those games five years ago and coming in and watching these young guys with Klay [Thompson] and Steph [Curry] and Harrison [Barnes]. And to be here now when these guys are really in their primes, I'm lucky to be part of it." Golden State's winning streak is the longest active streak in the league with the Los Angeles Lakers snapping the Houston Rockets' streak of 14 on Wednesday. Stephen Curry (ankle), Draymond Green (shoulder), Zaza Pachulia (shoulder), Andre Iguodala (flu-like symptoms) and Shaun Livingston all were unavailable for Wednesday's game. The offense didn't run smoothly without them, but the Warriors were locked in on the other end of the floor. The Grizzlies were held to 33 percent shooting. Thompson had a game-high 29 points and Kevin Durant produced 22 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks. "We have a lot of depth and plenty of guys who can play and so we have enough talent to continue to win, which is great," Kerr said. "It may not be pretty right now, but we are doing a good job defensively and then finding ways to score." Golden State (25-6) continues its season-long seven-game homestand Friday night when it hosts the Lakers. The Warriors are 2-0 against them this season.
