Sports: Football, basketball, track and field, baseball.
Sports highlights: Sawyer is a two-time letterwinner and a two-year starter at wide receiver and as a reserve cornerback in football. He earned Badger North Conference second-team honors as a junior, finishing with 11 catches for 232 yards and four touchdowns. He was also named Most Improved Underclassmen as a junior. Waunakee won Badger North Conference titles his freshman, sophomore and junior seasons and won the 2017 WIAA Division 2 state championship.
He is a two-time letterwinner in track and field, competing in the 100-meter dash, 400-meter relay, high jump and long jump. He shared Most Valuable honors as a junior and competed at state in the 400-meter relay along with Riley Zuhde, L.O Johnson and Nathan Mais and placed fourth at the WIAA Division 1 state meet and earned all-state honors. As a sophomore, he competed at state in the 400-meter relay with Lucas Statz, Zuhde and Johnson and placed fifth, earning all-state honors.
He played basketball as a freshman and sophomore at guard, and played baseball as an outfielder as a freshman.

I got my start in sports: I was always going to my older brothers games, and I really fell in love with the aspect of team sports

My most memorable moments in sports: Winning the WIAA Division 2 State Championship in football last year and competing at UW-Lacrosse in the WIAA State Track and Field meet.
I like about high school sports: You get to play with your best friends and for the community you grew up in.
