The NFL officially started the new league year and free agency at 4 p.m. ET Wednesday. Two of the big-name quarterbacks, Kirk Cousins and Case Keenum, have new teams but others are still on the open market. Here's a rundown of what has happened so far, sorted by conference and team.

Buffalo Bills
The Bills signed AJ McCarron, who played the past four years for the Cincinnati Bengals. He will likely be a bridge to whoever the Bills select in the draft. Read more.

Wide receiver Danny Amendola and guard Josh Sitton have both signed two-year deals with the Dolphins. Read more.
New England Patriots
The Patriots were busy on Friday, adding defensive end Adrian Clayborn, running back Jeremy Hill and offensive tackle Matt Tobin. Read more.

Morris Claiborne was the Jets' No. 1 priority among their own free agents, and they were able to retain him on a one-year deal. Read more.

Baltimore Ravens
It was a reversal of fortune that helped the Ravens land one of the NFL's top possession receivers in Michael Crabtree for the NFL's No. 29 passing attack. Read more.
Cincinnati Bengals
After flirting with the idea of drafting Reuben Foster last year, only to settle on little-used John Ross, the Bengals are addressing linebacker by signing ex-Bill Preston Brown to a one-year deal. And with Vontaze Burfict facing another suspension, the linebacking corps may need help. Read more.
Cleveland Browns
The Browns agreed to sign cornerback T.J. Carrie, a former seventh-round pick who figures to start immediately, based on the four-year, $31 million contract he was given. Read more.
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers signed former Colts linebacker Jon Bostic, who will be viewed as a good stopgap to replace Ryan Shazier until a draft pick develops. Read more.

Houston Texans
Houston made its first big move in free agency for a playmaker Friday night by signing Tyrann Mathieu to a one-year, $7 million deal. Read more.
Indianapolis Colts
Eric Ebron, who agreed to a two-year, $15 million deal, will compete with Erik Swoope to be the No. 2 tight end behind Jack Doyle this season. Read more.

The Jaguars continue to address one of their weakest positions, signing Austin Seferian-Jenkins. Read more.
Tennessee Titans
It was a big plus for the Titans to prevent DaQuan Jones from getting away in free agency, re-signing him to a three-year deal. He’s not the biggest name or best player, but he’s a consistent starting defensive lineman who handles a lot of the dirty work to let the playmakers stay clean. Read more.

Denver Broncos
The Broncos added Tremaine Brock, who immediately offers versatility as a veteran who has played full-time as an outside cornerback and also predominantly played nickelback in other seasons. Read more.
Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs needed a veteran to play behind starter Patrick Mahomes II, and they got Chad Henne. Read more.
Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers added a talented kicker in Caleb Sturgis who could be the long-term solution to the team's kicking woes. Read more.

The Raiders added a cornerback in Rashaan Melvin, who will likely play on the left side, with last year’s first-round draft pick, Gareon Conley, starting on the right. Read more.

Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys have placed the $2.91 million second-round tender on restricted free agent defensive linemen David Irving. The team contemplated using the first-rounder tender at $4.1 million but opted for the lower tag.
New York Giants
The Giants signed guard Patrick Omameh, who will see competition on the line, and cornerback Teddy Williams, who has played in an NFL game since early in the 2016 season. Read more.

The Eagles have re-signed Nigel Bradham to a five-year, $40 million deal, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Read more.

The Redskins agreed to a five-year, $40 million deal with receiver Paul Richardson, who played the past four years in Seattle. Read more.

Chicago Bears
The Bears signed linebacker/defensive end Aaron Lynch, reuniting him with defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, who coached in San Francisco during Lynch’s rookie year. Read more.
Detroit Lions
Detroit needed to add experience on the interior of its defensive line and had to improve its run defense after departures in free agency and struggles in the second half of last season. Sylvester Williams should help, but he doesn't come without risk. Meanwhile, tight end Luke Wilson fills a role. Read more.
Green Bay Packers
Signing Tramon Williams takes some pressure off the Packers to find another immediate starter at cornerback after they traded Damarious Randall to the Browns for quarterback DeShone Kizer earlier this month, and it gives last year’s top pick, Kevin King, another veteran mentor just like he had as a rookie in Davon House. A darn good defense just got better after the Vikings landed former Pro Bowler Sheldon Richardson. The former Jets star played in Seattle last season and will join what could be the best defensive line in the NFL. Read more.

Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons agreed to a three-year deal with veteran offensive guard Brandon Fusco, who played last season with the San Francisco 49ers. Read more.

The Panthers needed a space-eater to start beside Pro Bowler Kawann Short after losing 2013 first-round pick Star Lotulelei to Buffalo in free agency so they signed Dontari Poe to a three-year deal. Read more.
New Orleans Saints
The Saints brought back one of their best free-agent signings from 2017, agreeing to a two-year deal with defensive end Alex Okafor, per a source. Read more.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Bucs added Ryan Jensen to a four-year deal for $42 million with $22 million guaranteed, making him the highest-paid center in the league. Read more.

Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals signed Mike Glennon on Friday, and as the backup quarterback, he'll be one snap away from starting. And with Sam Bradford's injury history, that could happen sooner rather than later. Read more.
Los Angeles Rams
The Rams no longer have to worry about center. They brought back veteran John Sullivan on Friday with a two-year contract that is worth up to $15 million. Read more.

The Niners addressed their most glaring need by adding Jeremiah Attaochu to help their edge-rushing efforts. Read more.

Signing tight end Ed Dickson to a three-year deal is another addition by the Seahawks that hardly moves the needle but addresses one of their biggest needs after losing Jimmy Graham. Read more.
