Former Baylor WR Ishmael Zamora among Raiders' 18 UDFAs

ALAMEDA, Calif. -- After last weekend’s three-day rookie minicamp, the Oakland Raiders signed three undrafted free agents who participated on a tryout basis on Monday, and waived three players, giving the team 18 total UDFAs and moving their 90-man offseason roster to 89 players.

Former All-Pro outside linebacker Aldon Smith remains on the league’s suspended list, so he does not count against the roster limit, and veteran middle linebacker Perry Riley, Jr. still is unsigned.

A look at the Raiders’ 18 UDFAs:

Breon Borders, CB, Duke: Started 35 of 49 games over four seasons at Duke and had 12 interceptions, 34 passes defensed, a sack, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. The 5-foot-11, 189-pounder also had 148 tackles, with 106 solo stops and seven for a loss.

Paul Boyette, DT, Texas: In four years with the Longhorns, Boyette had 100 tackles, with 17 for a loss and 5.5 sacks. The 6-foot-2, 310-pounder started eight of 42 games.

Chauncey Briggs, OT, SMU: The 6-foot-6, 301-pounder started 32 of 39 games in four years for the Mustangs, helping SMU average 163.2 rushing yards per game last fall.

Fadol Brown, DE, Mississippi: Brown began his college career at Florida International before transferring and playing three years for the Rebels. The 6-foot-4, 282-pounder had 109 tackles, 51 solo, four sacks and 16 tackles for a loss in 32 games, 21 starts, at Ole Miss.

Pharaoh Brown, TE, Oregon: A two-time All-Pac 12 selection who played in 40 games for the Ducks, the 6-foot-5, 246-pounder had 70 career receptions for 1,011 yards and 11 touchdowns in four seasons.

Chris Casher, DE, Faulkner: Casher transferred from Florida State to NAIA Faulkner, and in 40 games over five years, the 6-foot-3, 264-pounder had 11.5 sacks, six forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, nine passes defensed and 122 tackles, 61 solo. Was a tryout player last weekend.

Anthony Cioffi, S, Rutgers: Played both strong and free safety as well as cornerback in four years for the Scarlet Knights, playing 47 games with 33 starts. The 5-foot-11, 205-pounder had eight interceptions, 13 passes defensed, 168 tackles, 120 solo, 9.5 for a loss, 2.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.

Najee Harris, LB, Wagner: Signed after tryout during minicamp this weekend, the 6-foot-1, 220-pounder had 44 tackles, 34 solo, with a sack, a fumble recovery and six passes defensed last fall as a senior. Had 156 career tackles in 40 games.

Keon Hatcher, WR, Arkansas: Had 130 catches for 1,866 yards and 19 touchdowns in 47 career games, 28 starts, over four years for the Razorbacks. The 6-foot-1, 212-pounder ranks fourth on Arkansas’ all-time TD catch list.

Chris Humes, CB, Arkansas State: Humes was honorable mention all-Sun Belt Conference as a senior. The 6-foot, 201-pounder had three interceptions, 14 passes defensed, two sacks, four forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries in 54 games, 39 starts, in four years for the Red Wolves.

Rickey Jefferson, S, LSU: The 5-foot-11, 208-pounder had four interceptions, 12 passes defensed, a sack and 87 tackles, 48 solo, in 37 games, 15 starts, with the Tigers.

Anthony Kukwa, LS, Lake Erie: Initially red-shirted at Ball State before transferring to Lake Erie, where the 6-foot-2, 231-pounder played in 42 games and was honorable mention all-GLIAC as a junior.

LaTroy Lewis, LB, Tennessee: Signed after coming to minicamp as a tryout player, the 6-foot-3, 254-pounder from GM Reggie McKenzie’s alma mater had 77 tackles, 45 solo, with 4.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and two passes defensed in 44 games over four seasons for the Volunteers.

Nicholas Morrow, LB, Greenville: Racked up 222 career tackles, 151 solo, with 38 for a loss, five sacks, four forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, three interceptions and 11 passes defensed in 34 games over four years. The 6-foot, 216-pounder was named second-team AFCA NCAA Division III All-American.

Jordan Simmons, G, USC: Started two of 21 career games over four years for coach Jack Del Rio’s alma mater. The 6-foot-3, 339-pounder played in 13 games as a senior as a backup and special teams player.

Isaac Whitney, WR, USC: In two seasons with the Trojans, the 6-foot-2, 204-pounder, who also played at Central Oklahoma and Riverside (Calif.) Community College, had 11 catches for 144 yards and two touchdowns.

Xavier Woodson-Luster, LB, Arkansas State: The Red Wolves’ all-time leading tackler with 293 stops, 165 solo and 19 for a loss. The 6-foot-1, 219-pounder also had five sacks, two interceptions, 11 passes defensed, five forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 47 games, 37 starts, over four years.

Ishmael Zamora, WR, Baylor: Suspended three games last fall after a video surfaced of him beating his dog with a belt. In 23 games, eight starts, over two years with the Bears, the 6-foot-3, 224-pounder had 72 catches for 941 yards and 10 touchdowns. He averaged 6.3 catches per game as a sophomore, second in the Big 12.
