Anthony Joshua has said he is ready to face Deontay Wilder in a heavyweight unification fight following the WBC champion's split decision with Tyson Fury on Saturday. Replying to a news story on Twitter that said Wilder was "very interested" in making Joshua his next fight, the WBA-WBO-IBF heavyweight champion criticized the American before saying he would fight either man in the future. "What took this fool so long? Like we ain't been interested?" Joshua wrote. "Anyway well done Fury! They wanted to get you because they assumed you was finished. I'll give you a fair one when you're ready! Either one of you!" Joshua, 29, is set to defend his belts against an unnamed opponent at Wembley Stadium on April 13. He defeated Alexander Povetkin in his last fight in September. The Englishman's camp was in talks with Wilder over the summer but negotiations broke down. Wilder and Fury agreed to terms in September for their fight, with Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn then setting a deadline of Dec.1 for talks with Wilder to be concluded. However a rematch between Fury and Wilder now looks likely, delaying any future fight between Joshua and either Wilder or Fury until late next year.
