Miami's success with the new NCAA transfer portal continued Tuesday night with the addition of defensive lineman Chigozie Nnoruka, a graduate transfer from UCLA.
Nnoruka announced his commitment to the Hurricanes on Twitter after visiting the school this past weekend.

Nnoruka started 10 games for UCLA in 2017, recording 49 tackles, including 8.5 for loss and two sacks. He played 11 games as a reserve in 2018, recording seven tackles. The 6-foot-1, 294-pound defensive tackle didn't play in 2016 at UCLA after transferring in from a junior college. He will have one year of eligibility remaining with the Hurricanes this coming fall.
Miami has been aggressive in pursuing and adding transfers since Manny Diaz took over as head coach. The Canes have already added quarterback Tate Martell from Ohio State, USC safety Bubba Bolden, Butler offensive tackle Tommy Kennedy, Auburn running back Asa Martin and Buffalo receiver K.J. Osborn. Diaz has celebrated the team's transfer success on social media.
Miami is also in the mix for former Virginia Tech defensive lineman Trevon Hill and possibly former UCLA linebacker Jaelan Phillips, who announced his retirement in December after two injury-plagued seasons but reportedly will visit Miami this weekend. Phillips was ESPN's top-rated defensive recruit (No. 3 overall) in the 2017 class.
