Boxers to end on a high

Nine Indian boxers will rise to the podium on the last day of competition in boxing, but only six of them have a chance to go for gold. MC Mary Kom will look to beat Northern Ireland's Kristina O'Hara to make her first Commonwealth Games medal the best possible one. Vikas Krishan and Satish Kumar would be expected to add to the golds for India, while Amit Phangal, Gaurav Solanki and Manish Kaushik face tougher tests against boxers from England, Northern Ireland and Australia, respectively.

Timings

Women's 45-48kg final, MC Mary Kom, 7:32am*

Men's boxing finals, 8:32am onwards

Sakshi leads the charge of the wrestlers

India have picked up medals in each of the eight wrestling categories, and that would be expected to continue on the final day of competition when 2016 Rio Olympics medallist Sakshi Malik looks to add a 62kg gold to the silver she won in Glasgow in 58kg four years ago. Vinesh Phogat will try to continue a Phogat tradition of at least one gold at the Games -- following in the footsteps of her cousins Geeta (2010) and Babita (2014) -- while the men in action on Saturday are Somveer (86kg) and Sumit (125kg).

Timings

Preliminary stages, 6am onwards

Medal rounds, 12:30pm onwards

A last hurrah for the shooters?

India's shooting contingent has stood out in Gold Coast, not just for the way they have racked up medals, but in how the younger squad members such as Anish Bhanwala, Manu Bhaker and Mehuli Ghosh have risen to the challenge in their maiden Games appearance.

But it will be the familiar faces who will come to the fore on what could be the last day of the sport at the Commonwealth Games for a while -- its position on the 2022 Games roster being in doubt. On Saturday, 2014 silver medallist Sanjeev Rajput will join Chain Singh in the men's 50m rifle 3 positions. Kynan Chenai is in contention for a place in the men's trap final after the first day of qualification, and Manavjit Sandhu needs to improve on an average opening-day showing to join him in the top six of the final.

Timings

Men's 50m rifle 3 positions final, 8:15am

Men's trap final, 11am

Can there be another relay high?

Seema Punia and Navjeet Dhillon might have been the only two athletes to have won medals thus far, but there have been moments of hope provided by the likes of Muhammad Anas, Hima Das and Tejaswin Shankar. Anas and Hima will return to anchor their respective 4x400m relay teams -- the men nearly pipped Jamaica to the top position in their heat. Other medal prospects: Neeraj Chopra in the javelin and Arpinder Singh in the men's triple jump final.

Timings

Men's javelin throw final, 10.05am

Men's triple jump final, 10.45am

Women's 4x400m relay final, 12.08am

Men's 4x400m relay final, 12.37am

Historic day in store for racket sports

India have never had it this good in sports such as squash and table tennis, while their depth in badminton is sure to deliver on the penultimate day of action. The big draw of the day will be HS Prannoy's men's singles semi-final against Malaysia's Lee Chong Wei -- whom the Indian has beaten in their two most recent meetings, both in 2017. An all-Indian final is likely to happen in both singles divisions, with Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu fighting for a place in Sunday's final too. In squash, watch out for the women's doubles duo of Joshna Chinappa and Dipika Pallikal in the semi-finals. And there will be lots of action in table tennis too, with the ageless Achanta Sharath Kamal in the men's singles semi-final and also joining Sathiyan Gnanasekaran to meet England's Liam Pitchford and Paul Drinkhall for the men's doubles gold.

Timings

Table tennis action, begins 5am

Badminton action, begins 6:30am

Squash action, begins 7:30am
