Caster Semenya and Luvo Manyonga were the big winners at the 2017 South African Sports Awards last night.
Semenya was crowned Sportswomen of the Year after winning gold in both the 800m and 1500m at the World Championships in London in June.
Manyango also shone at the event, clinching gold in the long jump to complete a remarkable turnaround in his life following four years out through drug addiction.
Other winners on the night included 400m hurdles star Sokwakhana Zazini being named Newcomer of the Year, and the Springbok Sevens outfit being crowned Team of the Year after clinching the 2016/17 World Rugby Sevens Series.
