Giants pick up support SirNukesAlot, per sources

Vodafone Giants have signed Estonian support Risto "SirNukesAlot" Luuri to its starting European League of Legends Championship Series roster, sources close to the team and player told ESPN.

The signing will mark SirNukesAlot League Championship Series debut. He will replace former Giants support Raphaël "Targamas" Crabbé -- who was removed from the team's roster in May. Since 2015, SirNukesAlot has competed on various Challenger and amateur teams, including Copenhagen Wolves, Nerv and ALTERNATE aTTaX.

SirNukesAlot is the second mid-season change Giants have made. On May 14, the team added former Fnatic Academy and Cloud9 coach Kublai "Kubz" Barlas as its head coach and shifted former head coach Ramón "Naruterador" Meseguer Fructuoso to the strategic coach role. The rest of the Giants roster will remain the same, with its first summer matches taking place on June 15-16 against H2K Gaming and Team Vitality.

In March, Giants finished ninth in the 2018 League Championship Series Spring Split. Its poor finish came after a significant roster overhaul during the offseason in December, including the pickups of jungler Charly "Djoko" Guillard, mid laner Felix "Betsy" Edling, AD carry Pierre "Steeelback" Medjaldi and support Targamas.

Giants did not respond to request for comment.
