In a week with minimal movement in the top 25 -- James Harden (No. 5), Ben Simmons (18), John Wall (21) and Victor Oladipo (22) are the only notable risers -- the bigger story is the amount of new faces to move inside the rankings.
Charlotte's Cody Zeller (120) is a former lottery pick who has averaged 12.2 PPG, 8.0 RPG and 1.2 BPG while shooting 63.2 percent from the field during his past five games. If the six-year veteran can keep these numbers going, he can be thought of in the same way we think about Domantas Sabonis - a big man with a similar skill set in terms of fantasy production.
Thaddeus Young (123) started the season slowly, but he has sure heated up, posting three double-doubles in four games last week. During the past five games, he has put up impressive averages of 19.0 PPG, 9.6 RPG, 3.0 APG and 1.4 SPG while shooting a blistering 55.4 percent from the field. So much to like here, but the return of Oladipo will make it difficult for the veteran to continue at this pace.
Dewayne Dedmon (126) has always been thought of as a rebounder who does a little bit of everything else, but he's changing that perception in a hurry. The 7-foot center cashed in for 5-of-5 shooting from 3-point land in Sunday's game at Brooklyn, finished with 24 points and 12 rebounds, and quietly has averaged 2.2 SPG during his past 10 games. If he's going to score, shoot the 3 and steal anywhere close to this rate, he certainly has top-100 potential.
Allen Crabbe (127) started the season ice cold, but good shooters don't stay cold forever. In six games this month, the former Cal star has averaged 14.8 PPG while shooting 45.0 percent, and he is back to doing what he does best - shoot the 3-ball. Crabbe has averaged 2.3 3PG on the season, which doesn't yet match last season (2.7 3PG), but he's trending back in that direction.
On the flip side, Trae Young (73) takes the biggest plunge of the week, which is probably a few weeks overdue. His inefficient shooting and lack of 3-pointers are the biggest reasons for the drop, along with his dwindling assist output.
Miami's Goran Dragic (91), Chicago's Wendell Carter Jr. (105), recently injured Sacramento forward Marvin Bagley III (119) and Chicago's Jabari Parker (unranked) are others to slide.
