Nacer Chadli leaves West Brom to join Monaco on three-year deal

Nacer Chadli has left West Bromwich Albion to join Monaco for an undisclosed fee, signing a three-year deal on Thursday.

Multiple outlets reported that the Championship club will receive £10 million for the attacker.

After the Baggies were relegated to the second division in the spring, the 29-year-old represented Belgium during their best ever World Cup, where they finished third.

"I am very happy to join AS Monaco, a great French club that participates in the Champions League," Chadli told the club's website. "The results of the last seasons prove the quality of the project and the ambition of the club.

"I will do everything to help AS Monaco achieve great things and achieve its goals."

Chadli moved to West Brom from Tottenham in August 2016, going on to make 32 appearances in his first campaign with the West Midlands club. As the Baggies were relegated from the Premier League in 2017-18, he made just five appearances.
