Clubs are slowly turning their eyes toward the summer window, and Transfer Talk has the updates on all the latest rumours.
United in pole position for Lewandowski
Manchester United have moved into the lead in the race to sign Robert Lewandowski, with German magazine Kicker claiming that the Red Devils are the only club to have made a move for the striker.
The Bayern Munich hitman dropped his agent of 10 years, Cezary Kucharski, in February and replaced him with renowned transfer broker Pini Zahavi, leading to speculation that he could be eyeing a move in the summer.
Real Madrid and Chelsea are also monitoring the 29-year-old's situation, but former Germany defender Christoph Metzelder -- who spent three years at the Santiago Bernabeu -- still believes a deal is unlikely to happen.
If Bayern are tempted to do business, they may use United's interest to bump up the price for Lewandowski. The Poland international has scored 32 goals this term and is tied to the Bundesliga giants until 2021.
Werner rejects Premier League interest
It's a good job United have set their sights on Lewandowski as another of Jose Mourinho's reported targets, Timo Werner, has committed his immediate future to RB Leipzig.
The Germany international has been tipped to star at the World Cup in Russia after scoring 17 goals in 35 matches in all competitions this season.
Werner's form has prompted speculation that he could be on his way to the Premier League -- with Liverpool rivalling United for his signature -- but the Mirror quotes the 22-year-old as dismissing recent rumours.
"Next year, definitely, I will stay in Leipzig," said Werner.
That should be that, then.
PSG plot De Gea bid
Paris Saint-Germain are weighing up a big-money move for David De Gea as they search for a new shot-stopper, according to Telefoot.
Although current No. 1 Alphonse Areola has kept 15 clean sheets in 27 appearances -- more than any other keeper in Ligue 1 -- PSG are aiming to have a Galactico between the sticks next season.
De Gea is joined by Thibaut Courtois and Gianluigi Donnarumma on the club's wanted list, with the two Premier League keepers both out of contract in 2019.
That could hinder United and Chelsea's negotiating power if PSG follow up their interest in the summer.
Napoli to beat Arsenal to Lafont
Speaking of goalkeepers in demand, the Mirror claims that Arsenal are set to miss out on Toulouse stopper Alban Lafont when the transfer window reopens.
Lafont has impressed in Ligue 1 despite Toulouse's struggles this season, and is in line to replace Hugo Lloris as France No. 1 in the future.
His form has encouraged Arsenal to consider the 19-year-old as a potential successor to Petr Cech, but it appears Napoli have now edged in front of the Gunners.
With Pepe Reina potentially heading to AC Milan when his contract expires in June, Lafont would go straight into the first team at Napoli instead of having to wait for his chance in north London.
