LIVE Transfer Talk: Man United's Fellaini a loan target for Henry's Monaco

The transfer window for Europe's biggest clubs is open again. Transfer Talk has been scouring the world's media and setting our correspondents loose to see who could be heading to/out of your club this month.

TOP STORY: United's Fellaini to join Arsenal legend

Thierry Henry has enquired about taking Belgium midfielder Marouane Fellaini on loan until the end of the season, according the the Express.

Monaco are struggling at the bottom of the table and appointed Henry in October in an attempt to turn their season around, and the former Arsenal and Barcelona player is using his reputation to attract players to the club.

It's no surprise that Henry is going for the likes of Fellaini, as well as being linked to his compatriot Michy Batshuayi, as he was assistant manager at Belgium before moving into the world of club management, and knows these players well.

From what we've seen in the Premier League, Fellaini would be up for the fight, but it remains to be seen whether United will let him go.

23.20 GMT: We have the latest twist in the ongoing saga between Callum Hudson-Odoi and Chelsea.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, the 18-year-old is ready to reject Chelsea's offer of £85,000 a week and hold out for a move to Bayern Munich.

Hudson-Odoi has played sparingly at Chelsea this season and reportedly believes he may have a better chance for immediate playing time and a better chance to develop at Bayern and in the Bundesliga.

Bayern have bid £35 million for the highly-rated teenager and are looking to lure the latest young English talent to Germany after the recent  success of Jadon Sancho at Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal loanee Reiss Nelson at Hoffenheim.

This one will be one of the more interesting stories to follow as the window comes to a close. Can Bayern entice/pay Chelsea enough to give up on a young English talent? To be determined...

22.35 GMT: Denis Suarez to Arsenal?

The Barcelona midfielder has dropped a serious hint on his future on social media. After Arsenal's 2-0 win over Chelsea, the Spaniard liked a series of Arsenal related posts on Instagram, adding fuel to the fire that he is bound for the Premier League and the Emirates.

Mirror Sport claims that Arsenal are now prepared to pay £1.7 million to take Suarez on an initial loan deal, before a permanent £17.5m deal can be completed in the summer.

Either way, Suarez knows what he is doing with these social media hints. Sit tight Arsenal fans!

21.46 GMT: With Marko Arnautovic expected to join Chinese Super League Guangzhou Evergrande, West Ham have reportedly lined up their replacement.

The Daily Mail writes that Celta Vigo striker Maxi Gomez is the preferred target but that the Spanish club is demanding £44 million for the Uruguayan.

The 22-year-old Gomez has nine goals and five assists this season for Vigo and would be an attractive replacement given he is more of traditional centre-forward than the Austrian Arnautovic.

Manuel Pellegrini has been searching for a true centre-forward to emerge all season in London with Andy Carroll, Javier Hernandez, Lucas Perez and Arnautovic all taking turns at the head of the snake with varying degrees of success.

21.00 GMT: Martin O'Neill has only been at Nottingham Forest for a few days but there are already rumours swirling that he'd like to sign one of his former charges with the Republic of Ireland.

That player is fellow Derry man James McClean, who is currently a member of Stoke City. With Stoke having also recently changed managers, McClean has found himself on the bench under Nathan Jones.

The 29-year-old Irishman has scored one goal and contributed six assists for Stoke and certainly has an admirer in his former Ireland boss.

After 28 games, Forest sit 11th and seven points out of the English Championship playoff spots.

20.02 GMT: Beppe Marotta is in a new job and he's excited to talk about how many players want to join Inter Milan. The former Juventus chief spoke to DAZN and namechecked Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin as one who "we don't want to let get away."

"I have to underline that Inter have a very strong appeal, as many players are looking for us and agents knock on our door," he said. "This is flattering, as it means we represent a reference point in the world of football.

"There are champions who present themselves, that we don't want to let get away, and Godin is one of them. We are ready to welcome such profiles and I want to underline that Godin will be a free agent in June."

19.26 GMT: Cardiff City have announced the signing of striker Emiliano Sala from Nantes for a club-record fee, subject to international clearance.

19.05 GMT: Forward Justin Rennicks has joined the New England Revolution as a Homegrown Player, the MLS club announced.

Rennicks, 19, is a product of the Revolution's Academy, where he spent five years before going on to play two seasons at Indiana University. He was the Academy Player of the Year in 2015 and 2016.

18.36 GMT: A Barcelona delegation was sent to Amsterdam earlier this week in a last-ditch attempt to persuade Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong to sign for the club, sources have confirmed to ESPN FC.

Reports in the Spanish media claimed president Josep Maria Bartomeu and sporting director Eric Abidal were among the traveling party, but ESPN FC were unable to confirm who was among the delegation.

Barca made the trip to the Netherlands with Paris Saint-Germain growing increasingly confident of landing the in-demand Dutch international, while Manchester City have also made an offer.

17.43 GMT: Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde was asked if he was getting frustrated by the club's inability to bring in a striker.

"I'm not frustrated," he told a news conference. "I know the club are working on signing a No. 9, but it's not as easy as it seems. Let's see if we can get something done or not. If not, we will continue with what we have -- and I am happy with what we have."

17.29 GMT: ICYMI, New York City FC have made an interesting acquisition, the club announcing it has added U.S. international Keaton Parks on loan from Benfica for the 2019 season.

The 21-year-old midfielder, who broke through last season to make six appearances for Benfica's first team, has played the entirety of this campaign for Benfica B in Portugal's second tier.

16.51 GMT: Vancouver Whitecaps goalkeeper Chituru Odunze will be going on trial at Leicester City. The 6-foot-7 keeper has made 25 starts in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy league for the 'Caps over the past three seasons and the 16-year-old will now get a chance to impress the Foxes.

15.46 GMT: Paris Saint-Germain are interested in both Zenit Saint Petersburg's Leandro Paredes and Celta Vigo's Stanislav Lobotka but Borussia Dortmund's Julian Weigl remains the priority as sporting director Antero Henrique chases a defensive midfielder this month, sources close to the French champions have told ESPN FC.

15.26 GMT: Sporting CP youngster Tiago Djalo is set to sign for AC Milan, according to Sky Italia.

Lazio, Manchester United and Manchester City have reportedly been tracking the 18-year-old centre-back but Djalo favours Milan and he will put pen to paper next week.

15.07 GMT: Nabil Fekir almost signed for Liverpool last summer now he's being linked with Chelsea. But, with 18 months on his contract at Lyon, he doesn't seem too worried about a move.

Fekir told French publication Le Progres (via GFFN): "They haven't called me, but they can be watching my situation without calling me."

Chelsea fans can get a bit more excited by these quotes: "I am happy at Lyon, but which player doesn't dream of discovering a new league, another club?"

But then might get let down again by the way he talked about signing a new deal at Lyon: "Discussions are ongoing. I have sat down with the president, things are advancing slowly. When will I take a decision? I am not fixing myself a date, I am not in a rush. Nobody is putting any pressure on it and I like to take my time."

14.48 GMT: Fred the Red might not be for sale, but the other one might be soon.

14.15 GMT: Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic hasn't been in Transfer Talk for a while ... we'd begun to think that every club had forgotten how good he is.

Not so, now. Diario Gol reckon that Real Madrid have reportedly made an offer of €160m for the Serbia midfielder in a bid to nab him from under Barcelona's noses.

13.30 GMT: The Daily Mail claim that Ashley Cole has agreed a £15,000-a-week deal to join Derby on six-month deal to reunite with Frank Lampard on his return to English football

12.50 GMT: Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi isn't welcome back at the Bridge and Valencia don't want him either, so Monaco seemed to be in pole position to seal a loan move before the Blues put the brakes on because they'd rather sell him on a permanent deal.

The Sun report that Everton will now launch a £40m bid to land the Belgium international next week. Though if he's worth £40m then the transfer market really has gone mad.

12.22 GMT: ICYMI -- Wayne Rooney has told ESPN who he thinks should be taking the Manchester United job on a permanent basis.

11:45 GMT: Manchester United's forwards have been revitalised since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has taken over, and that could spell good news for the future of Anthony Martial.

Sky Sports report that the France international is close to agreeing a new five-year contract at Old Trafford. Quite a turnaround for the 23-year-old, whose days looked numbered under previous boss Jose Mourinho.

10.50 GMT: Watford have made an offer for Korean defender Kim Min-Jae, the chairman of South Korean champions Jeonbuk Motors has confirmed.

The highly-rated centre-back, who missed the 2018 World Cup through injury, has already scored two goals at the Asian Cup to help South Korea win their group.

"It's true that Watford have made an offer," Baek Sung-Kwon said. "I can't reveal too much about the negotiations but... we will respect the player's wishes."

According to local reports, Jeonbuk have also received an offer from Chinese club Beijing Guoan of around $6m for the 22-year-old who has made 15 appearances for the Taeguk Warriors.

10.15 GMT: Chelsea's pursuit of Gonzalo Higuain continues. On Friday, Maurizio Sarri said Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia is "working very hard" to conclude a deal to sign the striker.

While the Blues could not sign the 31-year-old -- currently on loan at AC Milan from Juventus -- in time for Saturday's clash at Arsenal, the Argentina international could arrive in time for the Carabao Cup semifinal second leg against Tottenham.

When asked to clarify if Higuain would be eligible to play having not been registered as a Chelsea player for the first leg -- a 1-0 win for Spurs -- an EFL spokesman told ESPN FC: "As long as he was registered by 12 noon the day before the game he would be eligible to play."

10.00 GMT: And there it is! Liverpool have announced that Alexander-Arnold has signed his new deal. Sources have told ESPN FC that the contract runs until 2024.

09.05 GMT: Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to become the next player to commit his future to Liverpool by signing a new long-term contract, a source has told ESPN FC.

The source said the club and Alexander-Arnold's representatives are at an advanced stage in discussions about a new deal to reflect the 20-year-old's rapid development.

Alexander-Arnold has established himself as Liverpool's first-choice right-back and earned five caps for England.

In recent months, Premier League leaders Liverpool have managed to tie down the long-term futures of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Joe Gomez, Andrew Robertson and captain Jordan Henderson.

PAPER TALK (Danny Lee, Football Whispers)

West Ham and Spurs want Dzeko

Mauricio Pochettino and Manuel Pellegrini are both in the market for a striker for different reasons, and a report in Italian outlet Repubblica says that both are considering Edin Dzeko

The former Manchester City striker is still among the best out-and-out No. 9s on the continent, and at age 32, Roma might be willing to sell.

Spurs are looking for cover for the inured Harry Kane, and Son Heung-min who is on international duty, while West Ham are making plans in case Marko Arnautovic leaves for China, as he is expected to do this month.

Pellegrini managed Dzeko at City, so a move the the London stadium could be preferred, but Champions League football at Tottenham might also be attractive.

Liverpool make bid for Portuguese star

Jurgen Klopp's side have been quiet in the transfer window so far, but reports in Portugal say that they have made an under-the-radar bid for Benfica's Joao Felix.

Correio da Manha reported that the bid was in the region of £61m, and was rejected by the Portuguese club.

The 19-year-old has a release clause of over £100 million and it's unlikely Liverpool will meet that, but just because a bid has been rejected doesn't mean there won't be a follow up.

Liverpool are four points ahead of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League, and may believe that they'll need something extra to pip them to the title, though they are keeping their cards close to their chest in the transfer market, at least in terms on incomings.
