Transfer Talk: Real Madrid lining up £35m move for Manchester United's Bailly

17.10 BST: Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has said he would like to keep on-loan striker Gonzalo Higuain at Stamford Bridge despite uncertainty over whether or not the club will be able to sign players in the summer. He told a news conference: "Yes of course [I would like to keep him], but it depends on the club, it depends on Juventus. It's not clear, the situation at the moment."

16.35 BST: To Italy, where Il Mattino reports that Napoli midfielder Allan is suffering from "Paris syndrome" and wants to move to PSG in the future.

16.08 BST: West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini has told a news conference that he expects Marko Arnautovic to stay at the club, saying: "Anyone thinking Marko doesn't want to be here, they are wrong. He is not in a good moment but, supporting him, he will return."

15.47 BST: Everton boss Marco Silva has shrugged off reports that Richarlison could be a target for neighbours Liverpool, telling a news conference: "You have to smile, nothing more. For us, this speculation is not important to talk about."

15.21 BST: Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane is a reported target for both Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United, but agent Bruno Satin has told Canal+ that he has yet to hold talks with any club.

14.59 BST: Maurizio Sarri has said Chelsea can become a better team next season even if they are barred from registering new players this summer.

Chelsea's appeal against the two-window transfer ban handed down by FIFA in February is set to be heard by the governing body's Appeal Committee on April 11, while the club also reserve the right to go to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) if the ruling is upheld.

14.38 BST: As Transfer Talk told you earlier, Spurs are among the clubs hoping to sign Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon -- but the Mail reports that the asking price will be £40m, with Spurs "keen to pay much closer to £25m."

14.00 BST: Everton's hopes of signing on-loan Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes permanently could be scuppered by Tottenham, with the Telegraph reporting that "chairman Daniel Levy is willing to sanction a £30 million summer move."

13.49 BST: Ajax want to sign midfielder Carles Alena on loan next season, Sport reports, saying Barca could be willing to sanction the move to give the 21-year-old more first-team experience.

13.30 BST: Josep Maria Bartomeu has told ESPN FC that Antoine Griezmann's decision to turn down a move to Barcelona was "water under the bridge" as the Atletico Madrid forward prepares to make his first appearance at Camp Nou since then.

Last summer, Griezmann's future was the subject of a documentary called "The Decision" in which the France international confirmed he would stay at Atletico.

12.50 BST: There's no shortage of interest in Jadon Sancho after his superb performances for Borussia Dortmund, but CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has told Spox the England international will not be leaving.

"They [clubs chasing Sancho] all know he'll be with us next season," he said. "It's like that and there's no price tag. And because that's known in Europe, nobody has made any inquires."

12.02 BST: Back to Tottenham, with the Mirror saying they "head the queue of clubs who want to sign England prospect Ryan Sessegnon" from relegated Fulham, with Paris Saint Germain and Borussia Dortmund also interested.

11.46 BST: Leicester hope to strike a permanent deal for on-loan Monaco midfielder Youri Tielemans, who has also been linked with Manchester United, and it seems the Belgium international is keeping his options open. "To be honest, I do not know what will happen this summer," he told Sky Sports. "I feel good here, but I have to see the other options as well. I do not have to rush -- it's only April. We will see in the coming months."

11.27 BST: New stadium, new start for Spurs, says the Standard, which reports that there will be a big shake-up of the playing staff in North London over the summer.

England defender Kieran Trippier "heads a list of 12 players Tottenham will consider selling as part of a dramatic overhaul," with others who would be allowed to go if the right offers came in thought to include Erik Lamela and Moussa Sissoko.

11.21 BST: United States youth international Sebastian Soto, 18, is edging closer to a first senior contract in Germany. "We are in talks to turn young players into pros," Hannover sporting director Horst Heldt told Bild, which said Soto was set to win promotion to the senior team this season.

10.57 BST: Newcastle are to hold talks on their summer transfer strategy over the weekend, the Chronicle says. Targets are reported to include Hoffenheim striker Joelinton.

10.37 BST: Liverpool's chances of signing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot could be on the up, according to the Mirror. Citing reports in Spain, it says Real Madrid are not interested in signing the France international, and that could leave the way clear for the Merseysiders.

10.19 BST: On-loan Arsenal attacker Takuma Asano, 24, is one permanent appearance in the Hannover starting XI away from a permanent €3m deal under the terms of his loan -- but reports in Germany say the bottom of the table club would not be able to pay that at the moment.

09.57 BST: Chelsea are interested in signing Atletico Paranaense midfielder Bruno Guimaraes, sources have told ESPN FC.

Guimaraes was watched by a Chelsea scout as well as Jose Boto, chief scout of Shakhtar Donetsk, during Paranaense's 3-0 victory over Boca Juniors in the Copa Libertadores group stage on Wednesday, though no offer has yet been made.

Chelsea are planning for a busy summer of recruitment despite not yet knowing whether they will be able to delay, reduce or overturn the two-window transfer ban imposed on them by FIFA in February.

09.33 BST: Everton should brace themselves for more interest in Idrissa Gueye, who has been strongly linked with Paris Saint-Germain, in the summer, his agent has said.

Thierno Seydi told Sud FM: "True, we would have liked for him to go to PSG, but this approach has made him more visible to some of the best teams in the world. I am convinced that these are great teams that are now interested in him. He will be one of the most sought-after players come this summer."

08.44 BST: Spanish midfielder Pablo Sarabia has dodged questions about signing a new contract with Sevilla.

The 26-year-old was a reported target for both Chelsea and PSG in the winter, with a buyout clause of €18m, and has an offer on the table to extend his contract but has yet to accept it.

"It's clear that I'm having a good season, but I will give myself a distinction if we qualify for the Champions League," Sarabia told Cadena Ser radio. "We know the importance of qualifying for the Champions League, and I will see what happens after."

08.15 BST: Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has taken a new line in defence against claims Antoine Griezmann could leave by denying Atleti's interest in Lionel Messi.

Barca and Atletico meet in a top-of-the-table La Liga clash at Camp Nou on Saturday, and in an interview with Catalan Radio RAC1, Cerezo said Griezmann would not be joining Barca in the summer, just as Messi would not be joining Atletico.

"You are mistaken," he said. "It's not 1000 percent that Griezmann will stay at Atletico but rather 2000 percent."

He added: "We have not spoken to [Lionel] Messi," and when the reporter said he was asking about Griezmann, not Messi, Cerezo replied: "I've already told you -- we have not spoken with Messi."

Could Richarlison switch Mersey-sides?

Few players have made the move from Liverpool to Everton or vice-versa, but reports in Brazil claim Jurgen Klopp could be about to launch an audacious swoop on Goodison Park.

UOL Esporte says that Richarlison's agent, Renato Velasco, recently visited the home of Liverpool boss Klopp and suggests that Richarlison might have cropped up in the conversation.

Richarlison has been one of the shining lights at Goodison Park this year, and although he is thought to be happy on at Goodison, the prospect of lining up alongside Mo Salah and Sadio Mane, not to mention compatriot Roberto Firmino, could be a tempting one.

Fraser gunning for Arsenal move

Bournemouth's Ryan Fraser has been linked with Arsenal since Aaron Ramsey decided to move to Serie A, and the Mirror reports that he wouldn't be averse to a switch following interest from the North Londoners.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Fraser said: "I'm not going to lie, it's very nice. It means you are doing something right. When you see your name thrown around you always think to yourself that you are a Bournemouth player and you try to do well. I'm not going to lie, you do feel good, especially when it's a massive club."

Translated, that roughly equates to: "Come and get me!"
