WOLVERHAMPTON, England -- Manchester United were dumped out of the FA Cup by Wolves and have suffered back-to-back defeats since their incredible Champions League win at Paris Saint-Germain.
Second-half goals from Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota earned the hosts a 2-1 win and a trip to Wembley for the semifinals. Marcus Rashford scored a late goal but it was nothing more than consolation on a night when United managed just two shots on target.
Positives
Romelu Lukaku was ruled out with a foot injury and Alexis Sanchez is still sidelined but, ahead of the season's run-in, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's injury problems are clearing up. He was able to pick his first-choice front three of Rashford, Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard, while Ander Herrera also start after missing four games and Juan Mata was named on the bench.
Negatives
First and foremost, United are out of the competition after their worst performance of Solskjaer's reign by some distance. He insisted after last Sunday's defeat to Arsenal that his team had not played badly but could not say the same here. United did not create a meaningful chance until they were 2-0 down and by then it was already too late.

6 -- After dealing with an injury crisis for the best part of a month, Solskjaer was able to pick a strong team, but this was anything but a strong performance. Going out in this manner is a huge anti-climax after working so hard to get past Arsenal and Chelsea in earlier rounds.

GK Sergio Romero, 8 -- Still keeping David De Gea out of the team in the FA Cup, he made several good saves. One denied Jota just before half-time, but the best saw him push a Jimenez header onto the bar.
DF Diogo Dalot, 5 -- Had a lot of space to get forward from right-back with Lingard drifting inside. Dalot also tried his trick from Paris by smashing a shot off Jonny's elbow but there was no VAR penalty this time.
DF Luke Shaw, 6 -- Did well to cover across and smother a chance that fell to Jimenez early in the second half but did not deal with Jota for Wolves' second goal.
DF Victor Lindelof, 5 -- He was one of a number of United defenders at fault for the first goal as Jimenez had time to shoot, turn inside the penalty area and shoot again. Lindelof was also spared a red card by VAR.
DF Chris Smalling, 5 -- Could have done more to stop Jimenez scoring the first as United failed to clear the danger inside the penalty area.
MF Nemanja Matic, 6 -- Started well but was booked last in the first half. Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves were by far the best midfielders on show as Wolves dominated the second half.
MF Ander Herrera, 6 -- Back in midfield after missing four games with a hamstring injury, he struggled to get a grip of Moutinho and Neves in Wolves' midfield.
MF Paul Pogba, 5 -- Captain for the night with Ashley Young suspended, Pogba contributed to Wolves' first goal by giving Jimenez space to fire past Romero and did not hurt the hosts going forward.
FW Jesse Lingard, 6 -- Also returning after injury, he was given license to drift across the front line but lacked sharpness and did not manage to influence the game before being substituted.
FW Anthony Martial, 4 -- Making his first start for a month, he was anonymous for most of the night and lucky to last 90 minutes.
FW Marcus Rashford, 5 -- Playing centrally, he had a frustrating night. One long-range effort, which was easily held by goalkeeper John Ruddy, was as close as he got to a goal until his well-taken consolation.
