Fenerbahce re-hire Aykut Kocaman as head coach

Fenerbahce have hired Aykut Kocaman for a second stint as head coach.

Kocaman, who played at Fenerbahce and previously led the Turkish giants from 2010-2013, replaces Dick Advocaat after the Dutchman departed to take charge of the Netherlands national team.

Kocaman won the Super Lig in his first season in charge and helped them reach the 2013 Europa League semifinals, while also winning a pair of domestic cups.

The 52-year-old arrives from Konyaspor, whom he managed for the past three seasons.

"We wish many victories and championships to Aykut Kocaman, who has been a valuable part of our club," a club statement said. "We welcome him to his home."
