Bayern Munich salvage draw at Hertha, Borussia Dortmund cruise

Robert Lewandowski scored an injury-time equaliser as Bayern Munich salvaged a 1-1 draw away to Hertha Berlin.

Bayern, who beat Arsenal 5-1 in the Champions League on Wednesday, fell behind when Vedad Ibisevic flicked home Marvin Plattenhardt's free kick on 21 minutes.

Bayern fought back in the second half and eventually got their reward when Lewandowski levelled with the final kick of the game in the sixth minute of stoppage time.

The result could allow second-placed RB Leipzig to close within five points of Bayern if they beat Borussia Monchengladbach on Sunday.

Borussia Dortmund moved 13 points behind Bayern as they eased to a 3-0 win at home to struggling Wolfsburg.

Almost 25,000 Dortmund fans were prevented from attending as the Westfalenstadion's south stand was closed due to fan trouble at previous games.

Those attending saw a promising start from the side but it was a Wolfsburg player who scored first, albeit at the wrong end when Jeffrey Bruma headed Lukasz Piszczek's flick past his own goalkeeper.

Piszczek claimed a goal of his own right after the interval, heading in a cross from Ousmane Dembele, and he returned the favour to effectively seal the result before the hour-mark.

Werder Bremen beat Mainz 2-0 to ease the pressure on Alexander Nouri after four straight defeats since the winter break.

The unmarked Serge Gnabry headed the early opener inside the far post from a corner and Thomas Delaney doubled the lead with a brilliant free kick minutes later.

Delaney was later taken to a hospital with suspected concussion, the only black mark on the afternoon for Bremen.

Ingolstadt won 2-0 away at Eintracht Frankfurt.

Ingolstadt scored early then Frankfurt's David Abraham was sent off for a studs-up challenge into Dario Lezcano's stomach. The home side was given a lifeline when Ingolstadt keeper Martin Hansen conceded a penalty, but he saved it, and Makoto Hasebe crashed the rebound off the crossbar with the goal at his mercy.

Ingolstadt's Mathew Leckie earned a penalty at the other end, and it became 2-0, but Leckie was sent off late for a similar challenge to Abraham's.

Hoffenheim saw off Darmstadt 2-0 at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena.

Two goals from substitute Andrej Kramaric were enough to deal the bottom club their 10th away defeat of the season.

Saturday's late match saw another relegation-threatened team, Hamburg, squander a great chance to record a third successive win but the point gained from the 2-2 draw with Freiburg moved them out of the bottom three.

Goals from Aaron Hunt (15) and Michael Gregoritsch (57) twice had Markus Gisdol's men in command, but Maximilian Philipp (23) and Vincenzo Grifo (72) levelled for mid-table Freiburg.

Hunt won Hamburg a late penalty with some neat footwork, but his spot-kick skills were not so good and visiting goalkeeper Alexander Schwolow saved the striker's weak attempt.
