Montpellier 3-2 Caen

Casimir Ninga made it five goals in two games with a brace as 10-man Montpellier held on for a 3-2 win against Caen.

It was a lively start as Montpellier opened the scoring after three minutes through Ninga's looping finish from a Ryad Boudebouz through-ball.

But Caen were on level terms five minutes later when veteran defender Alaeddine Yahia headed home from a free kick.

Montpellier regained the lead in the 65th minute when Ninga crossed for Steve Mounie to head in, but again Caen hit back quickly as Ivan Santini lobbed goalkeeper Geoffrey Jourdren.

Mounie was sent off for a second yellow card, but it was the home side who went ahead for a third time when Ninga, who scored a hat-trick at Dijon in his last match, fired in.
