Monaco draw puts PSG on the brink of Ligue 1 title

Monaco were held to a 2-2 draw by struggling Reims to present Paris St Germain with a chance to win the Ligue 1 title this weekend.PSG will be crowned champions if they beat bottom side Troyes on Sunday.Second-placed Monaco were looking for a win to keep the chasing pack at bay but were denied by Diego's late equaliser and have now won only one of their last six games.Monaco twice took the lead through Vagner Love in the first half but were pegged back first by Gaetan Charbonnier and then Diego 11 minutes from time.Reims had two early chances but found themselves behind after only five minutes when Love let fly from outside the box.Six minutes later the visitors were level, Nicolas de Preville finding Charbonnier with a through ball and the midfielder did the rest.Charbonnier then shot over the bar when he should have done better while Wallace drew a flying save from Johann Carrasso with a header at the other end.But Monaco's advantage was restored in the 37th minute as Charbonnier misjudged his attempted back pass and Love pounced.Reims pressed for an equaliser after the break, with De Preville and Charbonnier both having efforts blocked, while Love missed a chance to bring up his hat-trick.And in the 79th minute Reims did find the leveller, Diego heading in substitute Lass Bangoura's cross.Bangoura tried his luck four minutes later but shot wide while the final chance went the way of Monaco as Lacina Traore's effort from outside the box was saved by Carrasso.
