Marco Asensio hits two as Real Madrid rally to beat Juventus in ICC

Real Madrid scored three unanswered goals to rally past Juventus for a 3-1 International Champions Cup win in Landover, Maryland on Saturday.

Dani Carvajal gifted Juventus their opener, inadvertently poking a Joao Cancelo cross past Keylor Navas in the Madrid goal.

But Gareth Bale had Real back on level terms before the break, picking up a loose ball right outside the Juve penalty area, taking one touch and then smashing a shot into the upper left corner to make it 1-1 at half-time.

Second-half substitute Marco Asensio, who replaced Bale, scored twice after the break, finishing off a nice counter-attack with a first-time shot from a nifty Vinicius Jr pass.

And the Spain international put the game away minutes later, poking home past Wojciech Szczesny, who got a hand on the ball and should have done better to keep it out of the net.

Julen Lopetegui's side have one more International Champions Cup match against Roma on Aug. 7 before kicking off their season in earnest against Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup.

Juventus will begin Serie A play on Aug. 19 against Chievo Verona, with summer addition Cristiano Ronaldo expected to suit up for his new team.
