Sunderland complete signing of Dame N'Doye on loan from Trabzonspor

Sunderland have sealed the loan signing of former Hull City striker Dame N'Doye.

N'Doye struggled to make an impact at Trabzonspor since joining the club in the summer for around £2.2 million after Hull were relegated from the Premier League.

Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce has been determined to bolster his attacking options in this month's transfer window, despite Jermain Defoe scoring a hat trick in Wednesday night's 4-2 win at Swansea.

The 30-year-old, who will wear the No. 10 shirt at the Stadium of Light, joined Hull from Lokomotiv Moscow for around £3m last February and scored five goals in 15 Premier League games for the Tigers.

Allardyce told the club's official website: "Dame will bring something different to our forward options.

"Having already played in the Premier League he should have no problems in hitting the ground running too, which is very important at this stage of the season."

N'Doye is set to make his Black Cats debut at home to Bournemouth on Jan. 23 as his work permit will not be through in time to face Tottenham on Saturday.
