Genk's Leon Bailey: I'd only join Man United for regular football

Leon Bailey has told Het Laatste Nieuws he will only consider a transfer to Manchester United if he is certain to get time on the pitch.

United have been linked to Bailey, 19, whose performances for Genk in the Belgian league, and notably the UEFA Europa League -- in which he has scored four times in as many games -- have caught the eye of some of Europe's top clubs.

The winger, who played in Austria and Slovakia before moving to Genk in 2015, insisted he will consider his chances of regular football before making a firm decision on his future.

"I've always dreamed of playing in the Premier League. But if United can't guarantee me that I'll play regularly, I'll stay at Genk," the Jamaican-born teenager said. "It's very important for me to play to continue my progress."

While playing for Trencin in Slovakia, Bailey's pace and eye for goal reportedly convinced both Chelsea and Ajax to make approaches for him only for the youngster to reject their advances in favour of Genk.

Bailey added he has no intention of forcing the issue should a firm offer be tabled.

"Everything will also depend on the club," he said. "If there is something concrete, then we'll talk about it."
