Paolo Di Canio and Nigel Winterburn recreate ref push at Arsenal match

With the international break providing the perfect window of opportunity for some fun and frolics at the Emirates, a team of Arsenal legends reunited to take on AC Milan's Glorie side in the name of charity.

The Gunners' team was packed full of Invincibles, with Robert Pires, Marc Overmars and David Seaman all taking part, while Milan's collection of old-timers featured the likes of Paolo Maldini, Zvonimir Boban and Cafu.

Milan also gave a starting berth to Paolo Di Canio, who provided one of the highlights of the afternoon when he and Nigel Winterburn recreated an infamous incident from a game between Arsenal and Sheffield Wednesday in 1998.

Following an altercation between the pair, Di Canio was sent off by referee Paul Alcock, who the fiery Italian striker duly proceeded to shove to the floor in a fit of anger before Winterburn's famous "flinch" as Di Canio left the pitch.

Now, 18 years on from that fateful day, we were able to witness it all over again -- this time with tongues firmly pressed in cheeks.

"Well, I've been waiting a long time to get Paolo back," Winterburn said after Legends match. "I thought I'm getting a little bit old now so it was a good opportunity. Listen, we had a chat about it before honestly and said 'let's just have a little go.'"

Timeless.
