Buffalo clinches MAC East with 95-82 win over Bowling Green

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- CJ Massinburg had 24 points, 12 rebounds and five assists and Buffalo clinched the Mid-American Conference East Division title on Friday night with a 95-82 win over Bowling Green.

The Bulls (20-7, 12-2) made 12 of 20 from 3-point range to hold off the Falcons (16-11, 7-7), who were the last team in the East with any chance of matching Buffalo in the final standings. Both teams have four games remaining in the season.

Buffalo led by as many as 17 late in the first half and went into the break with a 51-36 advantage. Bowling Green got as close as 57-53 early in the second, but the Bulls responded with nine straight points and had an answer for every subsequent challenge.

Nick Perkins added 22 points, Jeremy Harris scored 19 and Wes Clark 14 for the Bulls, who are a half-game over Toledo (11-2) in the overall conference standings.

Justin Turner led the Falcons with 23 points. Demajeo Wiggins had 13 points and 15 rebounds and Derek Koch scored 12.
