Bucknell announcer goes crazy after buzzer-beater

When Kimbal Mackenzie gives the Bison a dramatic 65-64 victory with a buzzer-beating 3, announcer Doug Birdsong provides a rather energetic call to match the enthusiasm of the fans rushing the court.

LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Kimbal Mackenzie scored six of his 11 points in the final 21 seconds, including the winning 3-pointer as time expired, to help Bucknell rally for a 65-64 win over Colgate on Monday night.

Jordan Swopshire's 3-pointer gave Colgate a 61-51 lead with 1:32 to play. Stephen Brown hit a 3 and Nana Foulland made a dunk for Bucknell while the Raiders made 3-of-4 free throws to make it 64-56 with 33 seconds left. Mackenzie grabbed an offensive rebound and converted a 3-point play and, after another offensive board, fed Foulland for a layup. Colgate's Will Rayman was called for a flagrant foul on the shot, giving the Bison two free throws and the ball. Foulland made one of the foul shots to trim the deficit to two points with 11 seconds to go and Mackenzie buried the winner from the right corner.

Zach Thomas led Bucknell (18-9, 12-2 Patriot League) with 18 points, Foulland scored 14 and grabbed 10 rebounds and Brown had 11 points.

Jordan Robertson scored 11 points, while Rayman and Dana Batt had 10 apiece for Colgate (14-11, 9-5). Rayman also tied his career high with 11 rebounds.

Sean O'Brien's layup gave the Raiders a 6-5 lead and Bucknell trailed until Mackenzie's 3.
