Keeling leads Charleston Southern to OT win over Radford

RADFORD, Va. -- Christian Keeling poured in 31 points, including nine of Charleston Southern's 10 points in overtime, to help the Buccaneers knock off Big South Conference front-running Radford 84-81 on Saturday.

Keeling made 17 of 20 free throws and hit two with 18 seconds left in regulation to send it to overtime. Keeling added seven rebounds and three assists. Cortez Mitchell scored 15, Sean Price chipped in with 13 points and five assists and Travis McConico scored 11 for the Buccaneers (8-13, 3-7).

Keeling nailed a 3 to put the Bucs up 77-74 early in the extra period. Ed Polite Jr. made a dunk, was fouled, missed the free throw but grabbed the rebound and scored to give the Highlanders a 78-77 lead. Keeling and Radford's Carlik Jones traded baskets before Keeling hit four straight free throws to give Charleston Southern an 83-81 lead. Radford missed its last four shots.

Donald Hicks topped the Highlanders (14-9, 7-3) with 19 points. Jones made all 11 of his foul shots and scored 17, while Polite Jr. scored 16 with nine rebounds.
