HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Andre Fox hit six 3-pointers and finished with 27 points -- both career highs -- and Jahaad Proctor scored 23 with four assists and two blocks to help High Point beat UNC Asheville 84-74 on Wednesday night to snap a three-game skid against the Bulldogs.

Fox and Proctor combined to make 17 of 33 from the field, including all of High Point's nine 3-pointers. The Panthers (6-7, 1-1 Big South) shot 55.2 percent (16 of 29) in the second half.

Fox hit a 3-pointer to spark, and made a jumper to cap, a 9-0 spurt that made it 17-9 and High Point led the rest of the way. The Bulldogs trimmed their deficit to 36-33 when Raekwon Miller hit a 3 just before halftime, but they would get no closer. Fox hit back-to-back 3-pointers as High Point scored 12 of the first 17 second-half points and five different Panthers scored during a 10-2 run that gave them a 58-45 with 10 minutes remaining. UNC Asheville trailed by double figures the rest of the way.
