Morgan State hands Delaware State 16th straight loss 61-47

BALTIMORE -- Phillip Carr had 13 points and 12 rebounds, Tiwian Kendley added 13 points and Morgan State beat Delaware State 61-47 on Monday night for the Hornets' 16th straight loss.

Kendley's fast-break windmill dunk extended Morgan State's lead to 36-27 with 15:52 to go.

Kyson Rawls nailed an open 3-pointer from the wing in transition to give Morgan State a 48-34 advantage and he added a 3 from the corner at the end of the shot clock to make it 59-41 with three-plus minutes left.

Rawls made three 3-pointers and scored 11 points for Morgan State (8-12, 4-3 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), which snapped a three-game skid.

Johquin Wiley scored 11 points for Delaware State (2-20, 0-7) in the 97th series meeting. The Hornets were just 16-of-53 shooting (30.2 percent), including 3 of 15 from distance.
