William & Mary dumps Delaware 84-63 behind Audige, Knight

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- Chase Audige scored 17 points with 10 rebounds and Nathan Knight scored 17 and barely missed a double-double as William & Mary broke it open after halftime beating Delaware 84-63 on Saturday.

Knight grabbed nine rebounds and Justin Pierce and Matt Milon each scored 13.

William & Mary (9-14, 5-6 Colonial Athletic Association) led 37-32 at halftime and used a 9-2 run that saw Pierce start the half with a 3-pointer. He followed with a dunk a few minutes later to make it 44-34 and The Tribe led by double digits the rest of the way.

Delaware struggled shooting in the second half, making just eight of 26 attempts (30.8 percent) including going 1 of 14 (7.1) from beyond the 3-point arc.

Ithiel Horton led the Blue Hens (14-10, 6-5) with 14 points, Ryan Johnson scored 12 and Matt Veretto 10.
