Cunningham leads Dayton past Purdue Fort Wayne 91-80

DAYTON, Ohio -- Josh Cunningham scored 20 points and Dayton moved to 3-0 to start the season as the Flyers came back from a halftime deficit to beat Purdue Fort Wayne, 91-80 on Friday night.

Dayton shot 60.7 percent from the field in the second half, roaring back from a 47-42 halftime deficit. Cunningham, Trey Landers and Jalen Crutcher each scored 11 points in the final 20 minutes.

Cunningham hit 9 of 10 from the field and grabbed eight rebounds. Crutcher finished with 18 points and Landers 15.

Purdue Fort Wayne (2-3) has lost all three of its games on the road, at UCLA and Ohio State, before falling to Dayton.

Kason Harrell finished with 20 points to lead the Mastodons. Matt Holba contributed a dozen points.

The Flyers have swept all three games of a season-opening home stand and now heads to Nassau, Bahamas for three games in the Battle 4 Atlantis, starting with Butler Wednesday.
