Delaware gives Monte Ross new deal

Delaware head coach Monte Ross has signed a contract extension to keep him at the school, sources told ESPN.

An official announcement is expected later today.

Ross was in the final year of his contract after not reaching an agreement on an extension last offseason. The Blue Hens reached the NCAA tournament in 2014 but went 10-20 this season after losing several key personnel from a year ago. They finished 9-9 in CAA.

Ross has been the head coach at Delaware for the past nine seasons, previously serving as an assistant coach to Phil Martelli at Saint Joseph's.
