Fordham transfer Eric Paschall commits to Villanova

Men's College Basketball, Villanova Villanova, Fordham Fordham

Fordham transfer Eric Paschall has committed to Villanova, sources confirmed to ESPN.com.

Paschall, a 6-foot-6 wing, chose the Wildcats over Florida, while Providence and Kansas also were among his finalists. He will sit out the 2015-16 season but will have three seasons of eligibility beginning in 2016-17.

SNY.tv earlier reported the news.

Paschall averaged 15.9 points and 5.5 rebounds this past season, winning Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year honors. He missed three of the team's final four games and played just 11 minutes in the fourth, but was consistent over the first four months of the season. Paschall opened his career with a 31-point, 10-rebound performance and notched seven games of at least 20 points.

After Fordham coach Tom Pecora was fired in March, Paschall announced he would explore a transfer. He also considered returning to the Rams before choosing Villanova.
