Marshall Thundering Herd

Chris Duhon, a former Duke player who is now an assistant men's basketball coach at Marshall, has been suspended by the school after a drunken driving arrest Monday near Huntington, West Virginia.

Duhon, 33, was arrested early Monday in Putnam County and charged with one count of aggravated DUI. He was booked at the jail in Barboursville, West Virginia, and later released on $1,000 bond.

Marshall's athletic department released a statement saying Duhon has been suspended for violating the department's rules and policies. The school said it would have no further comment.

Duhon won an NCAA title with Duke in 2001 and played in the NBA for nine years, including stints with the Knicks and Lakers. He joined Dan D'Antoni -- the brother of his former NBA coach, Mike D'Antoni -- at Marshall in 2014.
