Quinnipiac fires Tom Moore after 10 seasons

Quinnipiac has parted ways with men's basketball head coach Tom Moore after 10 seasons.

"After reviewing the last two seasons and talking with Coach Moore, I have decided that a change in leadership of the men's basketball program is needed for it to move forward in meeting our goals," athletic director Greg Amodio said. "We are grateful to Tom Moore and his staff for their commitment to our program over the past 10 years. We appreciate all that he has done for the University in guiding his student-athletes' performance on the court and in the classroom."

The former UConn assistant under Jim Calhoun went to the postseason in four of his first seven seasons but was unable to get to the NCAA tourney.

Quinnipiac was 15-15 in 2014-15 and finished 9-21 in 2015-16. The Bobcats went 10-21 this past season, 7-13 in the MAAC.
