Jameel McKay so active around the rim early in the second half. Important for that to continue. Little Rock made a late run against Purdue when Boilermakers big men slowed down late.

Niang has Cyclones up double digits

Georges Niang went 7-for-11 from the field for 17 points in the opening half as 4-seed Iowa State built a 40-28 advantage over Arkansas-Little Rock. Josh Hagins, who scored 31 in the Trojans' win over Purdue, tallied just two points in the first half. Halftime stats

Myron Medcalf ESPN Staff Writer

Hard to prep for a team like Iowa State. Little Rock hasn't faced a squad with this size and shooting ability at multiple positions. Cyclones spreading them out and just exploiting the gaps.

Myron Medcalf ESPN Staff Writer

Josh Hagins, the Little Rock star who scored 31 points against Purdue, took his first shot against Iowa State near the 11:35 mark, but he hasn't found any room with Monte Morris on him. His first shot attempt came after Deonte Burton switched with Morris on a ball screen.

Myron Medcalf ESPN Staff Writer

Monte Morris is doing a great job of denying Josh Hagins' touches. He's fighting through screens and defending kick out passes to the veteran wing. Hasn't been a factor yet.
