The most feared lineups in baseball

The Mariners load the bases with two outs in the seventh, but Adam Cimber comes on and strikes out Mitch Haniger on a 3-2 sinker after a nine-pitch battle. Another excellent outing for Trevor Bauer as he allows one run in 6.2 innings. Batters are hitting .159 off him through his four outings.

The Astros cooled off the red-hot Mariners, sweeping three games in Seattle and reminding them who the real boss is in the AL West. Gerrit Cole matched Justin Verlander's line from Saturday with 11 strikeouts in six innings and Astros pitchers combined for 39 strikeouts in the three games.

The Mariners pull out a dramatic 7-6 win over the Royals as Dan Vogelbach wins it with a home run in the 10th and Whit Merrifield strikes out to end it, snapping his 31-game hitting streak. The Mariners are 13-2. A bigger test awaits this weekend: They'll get Justin Verlander and Gerrit Cole and the Astros.
