Former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion Conor McGregor took to Twitter late Monday night to announce his retirement from mixed martial arts. Whether the decision is final or just a negotiation tactic for his next fight remains to be seen, but social media went abuzz nonetheless.
Hey guys quick announcement, I've decided to retire from the sport formally known as "Mixed Martial Art" today.
