Celtics, vying for East's No. 1 seed, to face short-handed Bucks

Four Milwaukee Bucks players -- Matthew Dellavedova, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and Tony Snell -- did not travel to Boston for Wednesday's regular-season finale against the Celtics.

Boston can clinch the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference if it beats a short-handed Milwaukee team, or if Cleveland loses to Toronto.

The Cavaliers won't have LeBron James on Wednesday night. They are 0-7 this season when he doesn't play.

Depending on perspective, James will either be resting, recovering or revving for the start of the playoffs. It's part of his usual playoff preparedness, since he hasn't appeared in a regular-season finale in a decade.

Cleveland can still claim the top seed in the conference with a win and a Boston loss.

The 42-39 Bucks, who secured their first winning season since 2009-10, have already locked up the sixth seed.
