Broken finger to sideline Malik Monk for rest of summer league

Charlotte Hornets guard Malik Monk has a fractured right thumb and will miss the rest of summer league, the team announced Saturday.

The Hornets said Monk will be re-evaluated in six-to-eight weeks. He suffered the injury during Friday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Monk, 20, was the No. 11 overall pick in last year's draft. He averaged 6.7 points and 1.4 assists in 63 games as a rookie.
