DeRozan ejected for firing ball toward ref Foster

SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Spurs star DeMar DeRozan was ejected with 5 minutes, 1 second remaining in the fourth quarter of Saturday's game against the Denver Nuggets for throwing the ball in the vicinity of official Scott Foster.

With the Spurs down 110-92, DeRozan drove to the hoop and was called for a charge on Nuggets guard Gary Harris. DeRozan then slung the ball high and over toward Foster, who was standing about 30 feet away along the right sideline.

DeRozan was assessed two technical fouls by official Rodney Mott and ejected from the game.

Asked to explain what led to his ejection, DeRozan said, "Frustration. I thought it was a bad call. Combination of both."

Denver went on to win Game 4 117-103, evening the first-round playoff series at 2-2.

DeRozan finished with 19 points, 5 assists and 5 rebounds.
