Not many guys started somewhere and then that was forgotten throughout their career. You know, the Chauncey Billups, the Nashes, of that group, so I'm trying to consider myself one of those guys."

With the win Friday, Brooklyn All-Star guard D'Angelo Russell helped officially eliminate his former team, the Lakers, from playoff contention. "We're not competing against them for seeding. Just the win is good enough." Russell finished with 21 points and 13 assists against the team that drafted him No. 2 overall in 2015.
