Brisbane guard Cameron Gliddon has declared himself fit and ready to fire in the Bullets' first NBL finals campaign since 2008
. The Australian international was sidelined with back soreness for last week's thrilling win over the NZ Breakers where the Bullets snuck into the finals ahead of Adelaide on points percentage.
West Australian-born Gliddon completed training in Brisbane on Friday and then declared himself good to go for the semi-final series against minor premiers Perth starting next Thursday. "
That was my first full training back and I feel great," Gliddon said. "That's up to (head coach Andrej Lemanis), up to the coaching staff (whether I start) but definitely be playing that's for sure."
The Bullets head into their best-of-three series against the Wildcats as massive underdogs.
The Wildcats boast a league-high 12-2 record at Perth Arena but the two teams have split their four encounters this season.
Gliddon, who has experienced a finals series win over Perth during his time with the Cairns Taipans, says defence will be the key to overcoming his hometown club.
"You're going to get a 40-minute effort from them and that's what we have to bring as well," he said.
"The old saying defence wins championships rings true and we've got to take care of defence and our offence we have enough talent for that to flow."
