Oregon players to represent U.S. in FIBA 3x3 World Cup

Four Oregon women's basketball players will represent the United States in the upcoming FIBA 3x3 World Cup, to be held June 8-12 in Manila, Philippines.

The Ducks who will compete are rising juniors Sabrina Ionescu and Ruthy Hebard, redshirt sophomore Erin Boley and senior Otiona Gildon. They won the national 3x3 competition with an 8-0 record in April in Colorado Springs, Colorado, but were officially named as the World Cup team on Wednesday.

Oregon advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight this season, falling there to eventual national champion Notre Dame. The 5-foot-11 guard Ionescu led the Ducks in scoring (19.7 PPG), assists (7.8) and steals (1.7) last season. She has an NCAA-record 10 triple-doubles in her college career and was Pac-12 Player of the Year last season, as well as a consensus first-team All-American.

Hebard was Oregon's leading rebounder (9.0 per game) and also scored 17.6 PPG. Gildon averaged 4.1 points and 3.4 rebounds for the Ducks, while Boley sat out the season after transferring from Notre Dame.
