Toulon secured a 37-10 bonus point win over Bordeaux Begles while Toulouse saw off Brive in the Top 14 on Sunday.

Tries from Bryan Haban, Pierre Bernard, Liam Gill, James O'Connor and Leigh Halfpenny sealed the bonus point win for the three times European champions Toulon over second place Bordeaux Begles.

The home side were in full control for much of the game and when Bordeaux's Luke Braid saw red in the 22nd minute for trampling on the face of Mamuka Gorgodze, it was one way traffic. Adam Ashley-Cooper's try shortly after the break offering the only real resistance from the visitors.

However, it took a Leigh Halfpenny try in the 76th minute to bag the bonus point for Toulon.

Toulouse bounced back from a disappointing defeat to Bayone a fortnight ago to earn a 30-12 victory over Brive.

The home side put in a dominant display as they outscored their opponents five tries to two including a brace by Gael Fickou.

It was the Brive who started the brighter however, as they went over for a try in the fourth minute through Said Hireche. Despite this positive start, Toulouse were in full control by the half-time break and did not let up.
