England and Bath winger Anthony Watson would be "definitely interested" in swapping rugby for American football after the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.
Watson has scored 13 tries for England since making his debut against the All Blacks in 2014 and is currently gearing up towards Bath's crucial Champions Cup clash with Scarlets on Friday.
The Aviva Premiership side are level on 13 points with Toulon atop the Pool 5 standings, with Watson scoring three tries so far, but should the NFL come knocking, Watson's time with Bath and England could come to a close.
"It's a definite yes," Watson told the BBC, when asked whether he would leave if his favourite team, the New York Giants, flew to Bath looking for his services. "Nah, I don't know bro. I am only 23 right now. It is not something I would ever rule out."
He did admit that an offer from the NFL could prove too tempting to turn down after the World Cup, where England will face France, Argentina, USA and Tonga in Pool C.
"After we've won the World Cup, hopefully, I would like to give it a shot potentially," Watson told the BBC, but when pushed on the matter added: "I'd need to get more information about the sport, what it takes etc, before I would make that jump. It is definitely something I would be interested in."
