Katy Daley-McLean: I'd be crazy to underestimate Scotland at home

It was a really pleasing result last time out against Wales (England won 52-0). When we played Italy we didn't have the best start, but Wales was the opposite to that; we started really well but then didn't continue it for the full 80 minutes. It was nice to get the better start this time though, and we scored some good tries which was nice.

Two-from-two, Crown in sights?

If only. It definitely builds confidence though, every game we play we want to win and ultimately that is our aim; to hopefully go on and win the tournament. But you can't get any further ahead so it is nice to get another box ticked. Italy done, Wales done and then we move on. We had a bit more time between the Wales and Scotland game to get some recovery in, go back and play for your club and have a bit of a break.

Off-week

It was just nice to see friends and family and eat some normal food! I've got a little niece now so I went to go and spend the day with her which was really cute. Then it was a case of having a good week's training as well because when the turnaround is so tight between games -- it is play, recover, play -- you don't really get a chance to fit training in.

Record breaking turnout

We had 4000 people down to watch us at the Stoop -- even in the awful weather -- so that was a massive help. We were really lucky with the support we got, not just in person, but across all social media as well. We want to push the game, grow the game, and that's certainly happening. Scotland also had a record turnout the same weekend and it shows how healthy the women's game is at the moment -- it's an exciting time for women's rugby.

Captaincy vs. Scotland

It is a massive honour and privilege to captain your country. But it is easy to forget all of the little bits and piece and the stresses that come with it so there is a little extra stress. You want to lead by example, make sure you are on time for meetings, in the right kit, and all those kind of things -- the basics. For me, I always want to do a really good job and to make sure the girls are my priority. So, as captain, you need to make sure you reduce the stress levels for everyone else in the squad and make sure everyone else has got what they need because Friday night (at the game) is the most important thing.

Scotland

I think it would be crazy to underestimate this game and underestimate Scotland at home in Glasgow. They get massive support at home for their games.

But the biggest thing for us is about an 80 minute performance. We obviously had a second 40 against Italy and a decent first 40 against Wales. But now we are looking for that complete performance.

When Scotland played France last weekend (France victory: 26-3), they pushed right up until the 75th minute of the game. For us we know we have got to turn up. We have got to deal with their big physical runners and try and impose our game on them from the start, and keep that up for the full 80.

But ultimately, our outcome is to win the game. For me, as a 10, I am more focused on the performance, the scoreline is immaterial as long as we get the win. It is about doing the things we have been doing in training and making sure we get more consistency into our performance.

Who to watch for?

Simon Middleton has made eight changes, so we have got a little bit of rotation in our squad. It will be great to see the likes of Izzy Noel-Smith get out from the start; her and Marlie [Packer] have a fierce battle for that seven shirt so she will be really chomping at the bit to get out there. Danielle Waterman has also been great on the wing throughout the tournament -- her and Ellie [Kildunne] have had a slight reshuffle, with Ellie going to fullback.
