Para-cycling World Championships: Dame Sarah Storey, Katie Toft win gold

Britain's para-cyclists Katie Toft and Dame Sarah Storey doubled their gold medal tallies at the Road World Championships in Maniago, Italy.

Storey came through to win the C5 time trial on the final day of competition after taking the road race title on Friday.

The victory marked a 31st world title for the Manchester-born athlete, who was returning to international competition nine months after giving birth to her second child.

Storey -- Britain's most successful Paralympian of all time with fourteen gold medals -- won her first world titles as a swimmer but switched to cycling in 2005 after a persistent ear infection.

Katie Toft added to Storey's success by winning the C1 road race, also her second gold medal alongside the C1 time trial title she won on Friday.

It's turning into a breakthrough year for Toft who was also victorious in the individual pursuit on the track earlier this year.

Fellow Briton Crystal Lane won a second silver of the Championships when she finished behind Storey in the C5 time trial.
